The highlight of the day was a White's Thrush on Sanday Orkney.
New rarities included Rustic Bunting at St.Martin's Scilly, White-rumped Sandpipers at Annagh Marsh Co.Mayo and Blennerville Co.Kerry, Baird's Sandpiper at Annagh Marsh Co.Mayo, Lesser Yellowlegs at South Wootton Norfolk, Citrine Wagtail at Spurn East Yorkshire, Brown Shrike at St.Kilda Western Isles, Dusky Warbler at Whalsay Shetland, Olive-backed Pipit on Sanday Orkney, Pallid Harrier at Dungeness Point Kent, and Semipalmated Sandpiper at Tacumshin Co.Wexford. Continuing rarities included Blyth's Reed Warbler at Fishtown of Usan Angus, Pallid Harrier at Llanrhidian Glamorgan, Wilson's Phalarope at Porth Hellick Pool, St.Mary's Scilly, Ferruginous Duck at Shawell Leicestershire, Spotted Sandpiper on St.Agnes Scilly, Siberian Stonechat at Hawthorn Dene Co.Durham, Laughing Gull at Trabeg Co.Kerry, White-rumped Sandpiper at The Gearagh Co.Cork, Hornemann's Redpoll at Norwick, Unst Shetland, Marsh Sandpiper at Musselburgh Lagoons Lothian, Swainson's Thrush at Malin More Co.Donegal, Long-billed Dowitcher at Tacumshin Co.Wexford, and Paddyfield Warbler at Porth Hellick Pool, St.Mary's Scilly. Late news included a Great Reed Warbler yesterday at Nanquidno Valley Cornwall, a Wilson's Phalarope on Monday at Leighton Moss Lancashire, and a Black Stork yesterday over Start Point Devon. |

The highlight of the day was the discovery of the first Red-eyed Vireo of the autumn, in the Western Isles on Barra.
Elsewhere, new rarities comprised an Isabelline Shrike species in Norfolk at Happisburgh, in the Isles of Scilly Wilson's Phalarope on St Mary's and Rustic Bunting on St Agnes, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan at Landimore, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Cork at Garinish, Blyth's Reed Warbler in Angus at Fishtown of Usan, Bonaparte's Gull in Highland at Dunnet Bay, and three White-rumped Sandpipers together at Tacumshin, County Wexford. Continuing rarities comprised the Swainson's Thrush still in County Donegal, a Zitting Cisticola in Suffolk, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Paddyfield Warbler and Spotted Sandpiper in the Isles of Scilly, Radde's Warbler and Hornemman's Redpoll together in Shetland, Dusky Warbler in East Yorkshire, Siberian Stonechat in County Durham, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgeshire, and White-rumped Sandpiper in County Cork. |

An spectacular day with discoveries including a Yellow-browed Bunting in Dorset at Abbotsbury, in Shetland a Siberian Thrush at Scatsta, Mainland, and a Radde's Warbler on Unst, a Swainson's Thrush in County Donegal at Malin More, a Grey-cheeked Thrush in Devon on Lundy, a Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare at Aughinish, and a Black Kite at Lehanmore, County Cork.
Elsewhere, continuing rarities comprised the Western Sandpiper still in Ayrshire, Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Paddyfield Warbler and Spotted Sandpiper in the Isles of Scilly, Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Siberian Stonechat in County Durham, Citrine Wagtail and Hornemann's Redpoll in Shetland, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, and Lesser Yellowlegs in both Cambridgeshire and County Louth.< |

The highlight of the day was a Black-faced Bunting between Sandwick and Noness on Mainland in Shetland.
Other new rarities included a Citrine Wagtail at Norwick on Unst in Shetland, Hornemann's Redpoll at Norwick on Unst in Shetland, a Siberian Stonechat on Foula in Shetland, a White-rumped Sandpiper at Loch Mor on Benbecula in Western Isles, a Pallid Harrier at Saul Warth in Gloucestershire, a Red-rumped Swallow at Sandwich Bay in Kent, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Lurgan Green in Co.Louth, a Subalpine Warbler at Brough on Whalsay in Shetland, a Dusky Warbler at Bigton on Mainland in Shetland, a Rustic Bunting at Maywick on Mainland in Shetland, a Red-flanked Bluetail near John o' Groats in Highland, a Paddyfield Warbler at Porth Hellick on St.Mary's in Scilly, a Pacific Golden Plover at Seasalter in Kent, and a Lesser White-fronted Goose at Howgate in Lothian. Continuing rarities included a White-rumped Sandpiper at The Gearagh in Co.Cork, a Blue-winged Teal at Loch of Spiggie on Mainland in Shetland, a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Stinking Porth on Bryher in Scilly, a Spotted Sandpiper at St.Warna's Cove on St.Agnes in Scilly, an Isabelline Wheatear at Land's End Airport in Cornwall, Siberian Stonechats at Grimston in East Yorkshire and at Hawthorn Dene in Co.Durham, a Western Sandpiper at Maidens in Ayrshire, a Lesser Grey Shrike at Winterton North Dunes in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs at Etton Maxey Pits in Cambridgeshire and at Loughor in Glamorgan, a Long-billed Dowitcher at Tacumshin in Co.Wexford, and a Marsh Sandpiper at Musselburgh Lagoons in Lothian. |

New rarities consisted of a Little Bittern at Weymouth in Dorset, Semipalmated Sandpipers at Muckross Estuary in Clonakilty, Co.Cork, a Pallid Harrier in the Blakeney area in Norfolk, and a White-rumped Sandpiper at The Gearagh in Co.Cork.

A Brown Shrike was found on Yell, Shetland today, with an Isabelline Wheatear at St Just, Cornwall, a Siberian Stonechat at Hawthorn Dene, County Durham, a Dusky Warbler at Kilnsea, Yorkshire and a Scopoli's Shearwater from a pelagic off Scilly.
Lingering rarities still present included the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Siberian Stonechat in Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Angus, another White-winged Scoter and Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgeshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Baird's Sandpiper in Western Isles and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. |

New rarities consisted of a Tawny Pipit at Winterton North Dunes in Norfolk, a Brown Shrike at Hunmanby Gap in North Yorkshire, Siberian Stonechats at Bempton Cliffs RSPB and at Grimston in East Yorkshire, Semipalmated Sandpipers at Melby Beach on mainland Shetland and at Bryher, Scilly, and an Isabelline Wheatear at Seaburn in Co.Durham.
Continuing rarities included a Western Sandpiper at Maidens in Ayrshire, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Loughor in Glamorgan, a Lesser Grey Shrike at Winterton North Dunes in Norfolk, a White-winged Scoter at Musselburgh Lagoons in Lothian, a Baird's Sandpiper at Aird Mhicheil on South Uist in Western Isles, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Etton Maxey Pits in Cambridgeshire, a Blue-winged Teal at Loch of Hillwell on Mainland in Shetland, an American Pipit on North Ronaldsay in Orkney, an Isabelline Wheatear at Eoropie on Lewis in Western Isles, and a Marsh Sandpiper at Musselburgh Lagoons in Lothian |

Discoveries today included an Isabelline Shrike species on the Isles of Scilly at St Martin's, Citrine Wagtail in Shetland at Lerwick, Mainland, and a Blyth's Reed Warbler on the Isle of May, Fife.
Nearctic shorebirds comprised the Western Sandpiper still in Ayrshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Western Isles, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Cork, American Golden Plover in East Sussex, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgeshire, Glamorgan, and County Wicklow, and a total of six Pectoral Sandpipers. Elsewhere continuing rarities comprised Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Marsh Sandpiper and White-winged Scoter together in Lothian, and Lesser Scaup in Northamptonshire. |

An Eastern Bonelli's Warbler was found on Unst, Shetland, with the Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler and Blyth's Reed Warbler also remaining on the island, and the Blue-winged Teal lingered on Mainland. An American Pipit arrived on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, with a new Baird's Sandpiper joining the long staying individual on St Kilda, Western Isles, and Lesser Scaups were found at Stanford Reservoir (the first for Northamptonshire) and Loch Leven, Perth and Kinross.
Other lingering rarities included the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgeshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Western Isles, two White-winged Scoters in Angus and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. |

A Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler was found at Baltasound, Unst, Shetland this afternoon. Other new discoveries included a Lesser Grey Shrike at Winterton, Norfolk, a Red-throated Pipit at Marshside, Merseyside and single Baird's Sandpipers at Coolmain, County Cork and Ormiclate, Western Isles.
Lingering rarities included the Swainson's Thrush and Isabelline Wheatear in Western Isles, Pechora Pipit in County Durham, Brown Shrike in Orkney, Greenish Warbler in Yorkshire, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgshire, Laughing Gull in County Kerry, Bonaparte's Gull in County Galway, Red-footed Falcon in Kent, Blue-winged Teal in Shetland, Lesser Scaup in County Donegal and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. |
