	A Pechora Pipit at The Leas near Trow Quarry in South Shields, Co.Durham was the standout bird of the day. Also noted were a Blue-winged Teal on mainland Shetland, an Alpine Swift at Portland in Dorset, and a Greenish Warbler at Spurn in East Yorkshire, and late news of a Blyth's Reed Warbler on Fair Isle in Shetland. Continuing rarities included a Swainson's Thrush at Cuithir on Barra in Western Isles, an Isabelline Wheatear at Eoropie on Lewis in Western Isles, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Etton Maxey Pits in Cambridgeshire, a Lesser Scaup at Aqualate Mere in Staffordshire, a Hornemann's Redpoll at Isbister on Mainland in Shetland, a Red-footed Falcon at Elmley NNR on Isle of Sheppey in Kent, a Baird's Sandpiper at Otter Estuary NR in Devon, a Marsh Sandpiper at Musselburgh Lagoons in Lothian, a Long-billed Dowitcher at Tacumshin in Co.Wexford, a White-rumped Sandpiper at Tacumshin in Co.Wexford, a Western Sandpiper at Maidens in Ayrshire, a Laughing Gull at Trabeg in Co.Kerry, a Bonaparte's Gull at Ballyconneely Strand in Co.Galway, a Brown Shrike on Papa Westray in Orkney, and a Lesser Yellowlegs at The Gearagh in Co.Cork.
