  A Baird's Sandpiper at Loch Paible on North Uist was the new rarity of the day.

Continuing rarities included a Greenish Warbler on Papa Westray in Orkney and on Tory Island in Co Donegal, a Stilt Sandpiper at Broad Lough in Co Wicklow, White-rumped Sandpipers at Carrahane Strand in Co Kerry and East Chevington in Northumberland, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Kidwelly Quay in Carmarthenshire, a Black-winged Pratincole at Loch Calder in Highland, two White-winged Scoters at Lunan Bay in Angus, a Western Sandpiper at Maidens in Ayrshire, and two Lesser Scaups at Belvide Reservoir in Staffordshire.
