  New headline birds included a Least Tern at Laytown in County Meath, a Black Kite over Portland in Dorset, and a Caspian Tern in Poole Harbour, also in Dorset.

Continuing rarities included White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk, Kent and East Yorkshire, a Black Stork in Suffolk, a Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, a Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, a Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, a Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire and Greater Manchester, a Caspian Tern in Leicestershire, a Black-winged Pratincole in the Western Isles, an American Black Tern in Lothian, and White-winged Scoters in Angus and Lothian.
