  Headline news came from Suffolk, where a Black Stork flew over Hollesley towards Boyton mid morning.

Other new arrivals included a White-rumped Sandpiper at Tacumshin, County Wexford, and a Caspian Tern at Hartleton, Herefordshire, which was later seen in Gloucestershire.

Continuing rarities included a White-rumped Sandpiper at Spurn, East Yorkshire, Baird's Sandpiper on Unst, Shetland, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, a Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Laughing Gull in County Kerry, and a Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire.
