A surprise early morning flyover in Greater London provided the day's main highlight, as an Alpine Swift was seen flying east over Orpington town centre shortly after 6am.

Continuing highlights included the long-staying Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, a Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, and a Black-winged Pratincole again on Mainland Shetland. A Little Bittern remained on St Mary's in Scilly, while the Least Tern was again seen at Portrane in Co. Dublin. A Great Reed Warbler continued on Fair Isle in Shetland, with another still in East Yorkshire, alongside a Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, a Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire, an Iberian Chiffchaff in Fife, and an American Black Tern in Northumberland.
