| Discoveries today included a brief Squacco Heron in Norfolk at Buckenham Marshes, Little Bittern on the Isles of Scilly on St Mary's, Spotted Sandpiper in Cambridgeshire at Grafham Water, Blue-winged Teal in London at Rainham Marshes, Eastern Subalpine Warbler in Devon on Lundy, Black Kite in Orkney on North Ronaldsay, Red-footed Falcons in Suffolk, East Sussex, and South Yorkshire, and Red-rumped Swallows in Gwynedd, Kent, and East Yorkshire (2).
Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Broad-billed Sandpiper in Gwent, Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire, Savi's Warbler and Black Kite in Cornwall, and in County Cork both Lesser Yellowlegs and Red-rumped Swallow. Late news from yesterday concerned a Kentish Plover in Hampshire at Hurst Beach briefly. |
