  The highlight of the day was the discovery of an adult Ross's Gull on the Western Isles at Ardivachar, South Uist.

Elsewhere, rarities comprised the Booted Eagle still in Cornwall, Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, White-winged Scoters in both Fife and Lothian, American Coot, Bufflehead, and Ross's Goose all in Shetland, American Pipit and Black Scoter in Northumberland, Least Sandpiper and Kentish Plover in Somerset, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Pembrokeshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Ferruginous Duck in London, two White-billed Divers in Moray, and Lesser Scaups in Derbyshire, Dorset, Essex, Western Isles, and County Wexford (2).
