| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Slate-coloured Junco in Cornwall near Helston with an Olive-backed Pipit new at Porthgwarra. Discoveries elsewhere comprised a Blyth's Reed Warbler in County Mayo on Achill Island, and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Northwick Warth, Gloucestershire.
Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Desert Wheatear in East Sussex, Northern Harrier and Blue-winged Teal together in County Wexford, Canvasback in Essex, White-winged Scoter in Angus, Black Duck and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Mayo, Red-flanked Bluetail, Radde's Warbler, Dusky Warbler, and Lesser Yellowlegs all on the Isles of Scilly, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitchers in London and Norfolk, two White-rumped Sandpipers together in County Londonderry, Dusky Warbler in County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull in Highland, and Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire. |
