  New discoveries today included a Penduline Tit at Meare Heath, Somerset, a Radde's Warbler at Spurn, Yorkshire, a Subalpine Warbler species on Dursey Island and a Long-billed Dowitcher at Ballycotton, both County Cork, a Baird's Sandpiper at Bannow Bay, County Wexford and a Pallid Harrier at Nine Wells, Pembrokeshire.

Lingering rarities included the Paddyfield Warbler, Arctic Warbler and Olive-backed Pipit in Shetland, Arctic Warbler, Dusky Warbler and an Isabelline Shrike species in Yorkshire, Arctic Warbler and a Subalpine Warbler species in County Cork, another Arctic Warbler in County Galway, Eastern Stonechats in Norfolk and Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Gloucestershire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk.
