  In Shetland, a Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler was found at Garth, South Nesting, with an Arctic Warbler at Bridge of Fitch, a Pechora Pipit and an Olive-backed Pipit on Fair Isle, and a further two Olive-backed Pipits at Uyeasound, Unst. A Red-flanked Bluetail was on North Ronaldsay, Orkney. Further south, a White-winged or Stejneger's Scoter flew past Holy Island, Northumberland and, in Yorkshire, a Radde's Warbler was trapped at Flamborough and a Dusky Warbler was at Spurn. In Lothian, the Stejneger's Scoter reappeared at Longniddry.

Lingering rarities included the Asian Desert Warbler in Norfolk, two Lanceolated Warblers, Paddyfield Warbler, two Olive-backed Pipits and a Coues's Redpoll in Shetland, an Isabelline Shrike species and an Olive-backed Pipit in Yorkshire, Eastern Stonechats in Norfolk and Northumberland (two), Arctic Warbler and a Subalpine Warbler species in County Cork, Booted Warbler and Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney, further Long-billed Dowitchers in Devon and Leicestershire, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Lesser Yellowlegs in Gloucestershire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk.
