| New discoveries today included a Paddyfield Warbler at Norwick on Unst, Shetland, Alpine Swift at Otterton in Devon, Rustic Bunting at Trimley Marshes in Suffolk, Semipalmated Sandpiper at Inch Island in County Donegal, Eastern Stonechat on Holy Island in Northumberland, Arctic Warbler at Mizen Head in County Cork, Desert Wheatear at Inverallochy in Aberdeenshire, and Lesser Scaup at Loch Leven, Kinross.
Lingering rarities included two Lanceolated Warblers in Shetland, Isabelline Shrike species, Arctic Warbler, and Dusky Warbler in East Yorkshire, Eastern Stonechats in Cleveland and Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Gloucestershire, Baird's Sandpiper and Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk. |
