  A Lanceolated Warbler was found on Fair Isle, Shetland (the 102nd record for the island), with a Dusky Warbler on Holy Island in Northumberland. Other discoveries included an Eastern Stonechat species at Donna Nook, Lincolnshire and both a Pallid Harrier and White-rumped Sandpiper in the Spurn recording area, Yorkshire.

Lingering rarities included the Lesser Grey Shrike, Wilson's Phalarope and Lesser Yellowlegs in Essex, Eastern Stonechats in Norfolk, Lothian and Shetland, Greenish Warbler in Cleveland, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Dublin, Whiskered Tern in County Derry, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk and Red-footed Falcon in Kent.
