| Discoveries today included a Black-headed Bunting on the Shetland Isles on Foula, a Gull-billed Tern on the Isles of Scilly on St Mary's this evening, and in Cornwall an Aquatic Warbler briefly at Pendeen and a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Marazion.
Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Hudsonian Godwit in Flintshire, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Cornwall on the Hayle Estuary, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Citrine Wagtail on Shetland, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire, and White-rumped Sandpipers in both County Dublin and Norfolk (2) A Fea's Petrel again passed Bridges of Ross, County Clare although the Pterodroma species logged there yesterday is now suspected to have been a Zino's Petrel. Late news for yesterday of a Scopoli's Shearwater at Galley Head, County Cork. |
