| Mega seabirds provided the highlights again today with a South Polar Skua and a Fea's Petrel passing Porthgwarra, Cornwall, two Scopoli's Shearwaters at sea off the Isles of Scilly, and in Ireland a Fea's Petrel species and three Scopoli's Shearwaters logged at the Bridges of Ross, County Clare.
Rarities elsewhere comprised the Hudsonian Godwit still in Flintshire, Stejneger's Scoter still in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Cornwall, White-rumped Sandpipers in County Dublin, Lincolnshire, and Norfolk (2), Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire. |
