Tuesday 20th August 2024  
  The highlights of the day were a Franklin's Gull in Cornwall at Hayle, and a Spotted Sandpiper at Marloes Mere, Pembrokeshire.

Notable waders included the Hudsonian Godwit showing again in Flintshire albeit elusive, Lesser Yellowlegs still in Northamptonshire, White-rumped Sandpiper still in Moray, and lingering Semipalmated Sandpipers in County Cork, Cornwall, and West Sussex.

Rarities elsewhere comprised a Fea's Petrel species passing Bridges of Ross, County Clare, the Canvasback still in Essex, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Lesser Grey Shrike and Citrine Wagtail both still on the Shetland Isles, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Caspian Tern in West Yorkshire, Black Kite in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.
