| Perhaps the most astounding news today was three Barolo Shearwaters seen off Bridges of Ross, in County Clare, other new rarities consisted of two Caspian Terns, one at Hickling in Norfolk, the other at Hill Head in Hampshire, and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Tacumshin in County Wexford.
Lingering rarities included the Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Gwent, White-rumped Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Alpine Swift in Western Isles. |
