The first modern day Little Crake for Surrey was discovered at Papercourt Water Meadows mid morning but, unfortunately, it wasn't seen subsequently. A male Kentish Plover was new at Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset and a Cackling Goose was on North Uist, Western Isles.

Lingering rarities still present included the Marsh Sandpiper in Hampshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs and Black-winged Stilt in Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset, Savi's Warbler in Yorkshire, Lesser Scaup in Perth and Kinross, Red-breasted Geese in Norfolk and Lincolnshire and White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire (three) and Moray (two).
