The highlight of the day was the reppearance of the Brown Booby in Cleveland at Hartlepool Headland and later South Gare before reappearing in Filey Bay, North Yorkshire. Discoveries today included a Spotted Sandpiper in County Antrim at Belfast Lough, a Bonaparte's Gull in Argyll on Islay, and now three Coues's Arctic Redpolls together on Unst, Shetland Isles. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Red-headed Bunting in East Yorkshire, Solitary Sandpiper in Kent, Grey-cheeked Thrush on the Isles of Scilly, Pacific Diver and Baird's Sandpiper in County Cork, Squacco Heron in Somerset, Red-breasted Goose in Highland, Red-flanked Bluetail in Aberdeenshire, Pallid Swift in Dumfries and Galloway, White-billed Diver in Moray, Ferruginous Duck in Dorset, and Lesser Scaup and Ferruginous Duck together in County Donegal. |
