New discoveries today consisted of a Blyth's Reed Warbler at Kilnsea in East Yorkshire, Great Reed Warbler at Martin Mere in Lancashire, possible Subalpine Warbler sp at North Foreland in Kent, Broad-billed Sandpiper at Foula in Shetland, Black-winged Stilt at Slimbridge WWT in Gloucestershire, Black Kite at multiple locations in Cornwall, Pacific Diver at Toormore in County Cork, and 16 Bee Eaters in Lincolnshire, Suffolk and Derbyshire. Lingering rarities today comprised the Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Eastern Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Iberian Chiffchaff in Gloucestershire, Subalpine Warbler sp, and Semipalmated Sandpiper in Orkney, Black-winged Stilt in Gloucestershire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, White-billed Diver in Western Isles, Ferruginous Duck, Great Reed Warbler, and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Black Duck in County Mayo, White-winged Scoter in Fife, and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland. Scarcities included three Night Herons, two Purple Herons, two Dotterel, eight Temminck's Stints, Honey Buzzard, Glaucous Gull, three Glossy Ibises, Grey-headed Wagtail, Long-tailed Skua, American Golden Plover, Great Grey Shrike, Green-winged Teal, Pomarine Skua, Bluethroat, Icterine Warbler, two Iceland Gulls, American Wigeon, and a Ring-necked Duck. |
