| A Short-toed Treecreeper was at Fan Bay, Kent for a short while mid morning. Other new discoveries included Black-winged Stilts at Ruan Lanihorne, Cornwall, Inish (two) and Tacumshin, both County Wexford and Lisselan, County Waterford, Alpine Swifts at Shuart and North Foreland, both Kent, St Ives (two) and Nanjizal, both Cornwall, Bolton, Greater Manchester and Carr Ban, Highland, and a White-billed Diver was at Skigersta, Western Isles.
Lingering rarities included the Ross's Gull in Aberdeenshire, White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Lothian, Lesser Scaups in Oxfordshire, Somerset and Clyde, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon, Long-billed Dowitchers in Norfolk and Orkney, Black-winged Stilts in Cornwall (seven), County Kerry (six), County Cork (six) and County Clare and Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall. Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, a Serin, a Richard's Pipit, a Shorelark, two Wrynecks, two Lapland Buntings, three Woodchat Shrikes, three Great Grey Shrikes, five Purple Herons, seven Night Herons, 12 Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, five Dotterel, two Surf Scoters, nine Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Little Auk, a Kumlien's Gull, four Glaucous Gulls and 20 Iceland Gulls. |
