  Lingering rarities still present today included the American Herring Gull in Cornwall, White-winged Scoter in County Mayo, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Suffolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher and three Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, White-rumped Sandpiper in Gloucestershire, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and King Eider in Cleveland.

Scarcity highlights included 11 Shorelarks, 38 Waxwings, five Glossy Ibises, a Grey Phalarope, two Surf Scoters, two American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, six Tundra Bean Geese, 12 Taiga Bean Geese, a Kumlien's Gull, two Ring-billed Gulls, seven Glaucous Gulls and ten Iceland Gulls.
