| Lingering rarities still present today included the Harlequin Duck in Western Isles, White-winged Scoter in County Mayo, Black Scoter in Northumberland, King Eider in Cleveland, Lesser Scaup in Surrey, two Ferruginous Ducks, Pallid Harrier and a Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, White-rumped Sandpiper in Gloucestershire, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim and Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Suffolk.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, two Richard's Pipits, 11 Shorelarks, 15 Waxwings, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, ten Ring-necked Ducks, two Snow Geese, 11 Tundra Bean Geese, 12 Taiga Bean Geese, a Rough-legged Buzzard, four Glossy Ibises, a Kumlien's Gull, two Ring-billed Gulls, five Glaucous Gulls and 15 Iceland Gulls. |
