Rarities today comprised the White-throated Sparrow still in Cheshire (and still inaccessible), White-winged Scoter still in Lothian, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Baikal Teal in Powys, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull both in Devon, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, King Eider in Cleveland, Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll.

Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Orkney), Yellow-browed Warbler (Oxfordshire), three Green-winged Teals, seven each of Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, 13 Shorelarks, and a total of 44 Waxwings.
