  Lingering rarities still present today included the Isabelline Wheatear, Eastern Yellow Wagtail and Laughing Gull in Devon, three Penduline Tits in County Cork, White-winged Scoter and Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, King Eider in Cleveland, Lesser Scaup in Western Isles, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull and Arctic Redpoll in County Antrim, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, two Ferruginous Ducks and Hume's Warbler in Norfolk and Hume's Warbler in Kent.

Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, three Yellow-browed Warblers, two Little Buntings, two Great Grey Shrikes, 15 Shorelarks, 19 Waxwings, four Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, two Black Brants, four Tundra Bean Geese, up to 178 Taiga Bean Geese, a Little Auk, a Great Shearwater, six Glaucous Gulls and 11 Iceland Gulls.
