The highlight of the day was a Black-browed Albatross that flew past St Ives Island, Cornwall in the afternoon.

Rarities elsewhere comprised White-winged Scoters still in both Lothian and County Mayo, American Herring Gull again in Cornwall, Laughing Gull, Isabelline Wheatear, and probable Eastern Yellow Wagtail all in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, and three Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Arctic Redpoll and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Lesser Scaup in County Armagh, King Eider in Cleveland, and two White-billed Divers on the Shetland Isles.

Scarcities today included Pallas's Warbler and Rough-legged Buzzard (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Somerset), Surf Scoter (Lothian), two each of Great Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler, Glossy Ibis, and Black Brant, three Green-winged Teals, nine Ring-necked Ducks, 14 Shorelarks, and a total of 32 Waxwings.
