Rarities today comprised the Greater Yellowlegs still in County Waterford, Isabelline Wheatear still in Devon, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, and Long-billed Dowitcher all in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, King Eider in Cleveland, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Lesser Scaup in Fife, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, and Dusky Warblers in both Cornwall and Wiltshire. Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (Cornwall), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Black Brant (Norfolk), two each of American Wigeon, Snow Goose, Yellow-browed Wabler, and Lapland Bunting, seven Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 22 Waxwings. |
