  Lingering rarities seen today included the Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Hume's Warbler, Pallid Harrier and at least three Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Olive-backed Pipit in Devon, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Lesser Scaup in Fife and King Eider in Cleveland.

Scarcity highlights included a Great Grey Shrike, three Lapland Buntings, 11 Shorelarks, a Dotterel, three Glossy Ibises, three Green-winged Teal, three American Wigeon, 154 Waxwings, seven Ring-necked Ducks, a Black Brant, two Tundra Bean Geese, two Little Auks, a Pomarine Skua, a Ring-billed Gull, two Glaucous Gulls and six Iceland Gulls.
