Discoveries today included a Pallid Harrier in Argyll on Islay, Blyth's Reed Warbler in Cornwall at Nanjizal, Dusky Warbler on the Shetland Isles at Quendale, and in Northumberland Bonaparte's Gull and Pallid Swift together at Bamburgh.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were Wilson's Snipe and Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Pied Wheatear and Black Scoter in Northumberland, Eastern Stonechat species and two Red-rumped Swallows in Kent, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Orkney Isles, Olive-backed Pipit on the Shetland Isles, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, and a Cackling Goose on the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Red-necked Phalarope (Devon), Green-winged Teal (Moray), Glossy Ibis (Berkshire), two each of Sabine's Gull, Great Grey Shrike, and Lapland Bunting, four American Wigeons, seven Shorelarks, 10 Ring-necked Ducks, 56 Waxwings, and in Cornwall seawatchers logged 786 Great Shearwaters.
