The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Tennessee Warbler in Pembrokeshire on Skokholm; the first record for Wales. Elsewhere a Myrtle Warbler was new in County Clare at Kilbaha, and a pratincole species was seen briefly in Northumberland at Cresswell Pond.

On the Isles of Scilly the Swainson's Thrush remained on Tresco where a Two-barred Greenish Warbler was suspected with nearby the Olive-backed Pipit still on St Mary's, and at sea seven Cory's Shearwaters and eight Great Shearwaters. On the Shetland Isles a Black-winged Stilt was new on Yell, Lesser Scaup and Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on Unst, Eastern Stonechat species, King Eider, Ring-necked Duck, Barred Warbler, and probable Homeyer's Great Grey Shrike on Mainland, and Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on Fair Isle.

Other lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Hornemann's Arctic Redpolls on both the Orkney Isles and Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cleveland and Cornwall (2), and an Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Cork.
