Discoveries today included a Red-flanked Bluetail in Norfolk at Trimingham, a
Baird's Sandpiper in County Donegal at Blanket Nook, and Bee-eaters briefly in County Durham and the Isle of Wight. On the Shetland Isles Great Snipe, Arctic Warbler, Rose-coloured Starling, Barred Warbler, Bluethroat, and Lapland Bunting were on Fair Isle, Arctic Warbler, Wryneck, and three Common Rosefinches on Mainland, Arctic Warbler on Yell, with at total of 49 Yellow-browed Warblers logged around the islands. On the Isles of Scilly a Spotted Crake was on St Mary's, Pectoral Sandpiper on Tresco, and around the islands a total of six Wrynecks. Notables elsewhere were the Roller still present in Devon, Citrine Wagtail in Dorset, Ortolan Bunting in Glamorgan, Purple Heron in Lancashire, Little Bunting in East Yorkshire, Richard's Pipit in Cornwall, Rose-coloured Starling in West Sussex, and Red-necked Phalarope in Herefordshire. |
