  Lingering rarities seen today included the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler at Howth, County Dublin, Western Bonelli's Warbler at Quendale, Shetland, Arctic Warbler on Barra, Western Isles and Citrine Wagtails at Lodmoor, Dorset and near Lerwick, Shetland.

Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, an Ortolan Bunting, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Common Rosefinch, a Lapland Bunting, a Great Grey Shrike, two Red-backed Shrikes, a Yellow-browed Warbler, 13 Wrynecks, a Ring-necked Duck, an American Golden Plover, a Temminck's Stint, two Red-necked Phalaropes, four Grey Phalaropes, four Pectoral Sandpipers, two Honey Buzzards, a Spotted Crake, six Glossy Ibises, two Leach's Petrels, two Sabine's Gulls, a White-winged Black Tern, three Roseate Terns, four Balearic Shearwaters, 19 Pomarine Skuas, around 49 Long-tailed Skuas, a Cory's Shearwater and 93 Great Shearwaters.
