New discoveries today included a Booted Warbler on St Mary's, Scilly and an Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in Cork, County Cork.
Lingering rarities included the Greater Sand Plover in Cleveland, Citrine Wagtails in Gwent and County Wexford, a Bee-eater in Norfolk, Black Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll and a Wilson's Petrel was off the Scilly pelagic. Scarcity highlights included two Hoopoes, three Red-backed Shrikes, five Wrynecks, five Common Rosefinches, two Purple Herons, 34 Glossy Ibises, a Honey Buzzard, two Surf Scoters, five Spotted Crakes, an American Golden Plover, four Red-necked Phalaropes, eight Grey Phalaropes, eight Dotterel, five Temminck's Stints, nine Pectoral Sandpipers, 10 Roseate Terns, 11 Sabine's Gulls, a Long-tailed Skua, eight Pomarine Skuas, 13 Balearic Shearwaters, 17 Cory's Shearwaters and 47 Great Shearwaters. |
