| Today was a notable day for discoveries with in Aberdeenshire a Terek Sandpiper briefly at Loch of Strathbeg and a Black Scoter at Blackdog, in Highland a
Franklin's Gull on the Isle of Skye at Broadford Bay, a Whiskered Tern in Hampshire at Fishlake Meadows, a
Lesser Yellowlegs on the Isles of Scilly on Tresco, at least one Ferruginous Duck in Northamptonshire at Daventry Reservoir,
Black Kites in both Buckinghamshire and Powys, and new White-rumped Sandpipers in both County Kerry and Northumberland. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Greater Yellowlegs still in County Kildare, Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross both still together in East Yorkshire, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Least Sandpiper in Cornwall, Squacco Heron in West Sussex, Gull-billed Tern and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Hampshire and Norfolk, two Wilson's Petrels at sea off the Isles of Scilly, and in Norfolk at least nine Bee-eaters still at the colony at Trimingham. Scarcities included Night Heron (Kent), Temminck's Stint (Lancashire), Spotted Crake (Perth and Kinross), Long-tailed Skua (Scilly), Ring-necked Duck (Anglesey), two Pectoral Sandpipers, three Purple Herons, 10 Great Shearwaters, 19 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 151 Cory's Shearwaters. |

| Rarities today comprised the Greater Yellowlegs still in County Kildare,
Least Tern in County Dublin, Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross together in East Yorkshire,
Least Sandpiper in Cornwall, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll,
Squacco Heron and White-rumped Sandpiper in West Sussex, Gull-billed Tern and
Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Hampshire and Norfolk, at least eight Bee-eaters still at the nest in Norfolk, and
Wilson's Petrels logged at sea off County Cork (9), at sea off the Isles of Scilly (3), and from land at Pendeen Watch, Cornwall. Scarcities included Night Heron (Kent), American Wigeon (County Londonderry), Ring-necked Duck (Anglesey), two Temminck's Stints, three each of both Purple Heron and Pectoral Sandpiper, 11 Glossy Ibises, 30 Great Shearwaters, and a total of 33 Cory's Shearwaters. |

| New rarities discovered today comprised a Greater Yellowlegs in County Kildare at Carton Demesne, a
Squacco Heron in West Sussex at Pagham Harbour, and a Bonaparte's Gull in Argyll on Mull. Elsewhere, rarities comprised the Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross still together in East Yorkshire, Least Sandpiper in Cornwall, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, White-rumped Sandpiper in West Sussex, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Hampshire and Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gulls in both County Cork and Kent, Wilson's Petrel at sea off the Isles of Scilly, two Ferruginous Ducks together in Warwickshire, the family of six Black-winged Stilts in South Yorkshire, and the breeding Bee-eaters still at the colony in Norfolk. Scarcities included Night Heron, Purple Heron and Temminck's Stint (all in Kent), Ring-necked Duck (Anglesey), two Pectoral Sandpipers, four Cory's Shearwaters, and a total of nine Glossy Ibises. |

| A Gull-billed Tern was seen at Oare Marshes, Kent this afternoon, whilst six Wilson's Petrels were recorded from the evening pelagic off Scilly.
Lingering rarities included the Least Sandpiper in Cornwall, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and County Cork and two Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included a Red-backed Shrike, a Montagu's Harrier, four Honey Buzzards, a Night Heron, three Purple Herons, 19 Glossy Ibises, two Pectoral Sandpipers, two Great Shearwaters, four Cory's Shearwaters and three Pomarine Skuas. |

New rarities included Bonaparte’s Gull in County Cork, Least Sandpiper in Cornwall at Drift Reservoir, King Eider on Shetland and a Laughing Gull on Scilly Lingering rarities still present included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in West Sussex, Least Tern in County Dublin, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and 2 Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included Pectoral Sandpiper, 2 Purple Herons, 17 Glossy Ibises, 4 Honey Buzzards and a Ring-necked Duck |

New rarities included two White-rumped Sandpipers in West Sussex, Caspian Tern flew past in Lincolnshire whilst another in East Yorkshire. Lingering rarities still present included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Elegant Tern in County Galway, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included 4 Pectoral Sandpipers, a Purple Heron, 14 Glossy Ibises, Honey Buzzard and a Ring-necked Duck |

New rarities included 2 Wilson’s Petrels off Cornwall, Black Kite in East Sussex and a second Ferruginous Duck at Draycote Water in Warwickshire with this individual being a drake. Lingering rarities still present included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Least Tern in County Dublin, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, a Purple Heron, Night Heron, 5 Glossy Ibises, 5 Honey Buzzards and a Ring-necked Duck |

| Seawatching today produced two Fea's or Desertas Petrels off County Cork (both of which were seen from both Galley Head and Cape Clear), 206 Great Shearwaters (including 134 off Galley Head and 59 off Cape Clear), 2,355 Cory's Shearwaters (including 995 off Galley Head, 760 off Cape Clear, 363 off Porthgwarra and 110 off Lizard Point), 66 Balearic Shearwaters, a Long-tailed Skua and five Pomarine Skuas.
A White-rumped Sandpiper was found at Kilnsea, Yorkshire, whilst lingering rarities still present included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Least Tern in County Dublin, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. Scarcity highlights included an Icterine Warbler, four Pectoral Sandpipers, a Purple Heron, two Night Herons, 16 Glossy Ibises, four Honey Buzzards, a Ring-necked Duck and a Glaucous Gull. |

Discoveries today included a Lesser Yellowlegs at Titchwell RSPB, Norfolk then in Fife a Bonaparte’s Gull in East Wemyss and in Warwickshire a Ferruginous Duck at Draycote Water. Lingering rarities seen today included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Least Tern in County Dublin and at least 8 Bee-eaters in Norfolk. Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, two Pomarine Skuas, a Purple Heron, 23 Glossy Ibises, 2 Honey Buzzards, and two Ring-necked Ducks |

| A Caspian Tern was found at Staveley, Yorkshire, with another still in the Slimbridge area of Gloucestershire. Other lingering rarities seen today included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Buckinghamshire and Angus, Least Tern in County Dublin, Elegant Tern in County Galway, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Iberian Chiffchaff in London and at least six Bee-eaters in Norfolk.
Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Long-tailed Skua, two Pomarine Skuas, a Purple Heron, 18 Glossy Ibises, thre Honey Buzzards, a Surf Scoter and two Ring-necked Ducks. |
