  Caspian Terns were found at Brownsea Island, Dorset and at an undisclosed site in Highland, with lingering individuals at Christchurch, Dorset, Epney, Gloucestershire and Saltholme, Cleveland.

Other lingering rarities included the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross and six Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire, Stilt Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent and American Black Tern in Northumberland.

Scarcity highlights included eight Honey Buzzards, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Night Heron, 16 Glossy Ibises, two Pomarine Skuas and a Glaucous Gull.
