| Caspian Tern dominated the news today with singles in Dorset, Gloucestershire, and Gwent, and two together in Cleveland. Rarities elsewhere comprised Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross still together in East Yorkshire, Least Tern still in County Dublin, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, King Eider in Lothian, the family of six Black-winged Stilts in South Yorkshire, and in Norfolk White-rumped Sandpiper, two Bee-eaters, and six Black-winged Stilts. Scarcities included Night Heron (Kent), Sabine's Gull (Lancashire), Common Rosefinch (Lincolnshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Ceredigion), Pectoral Sandpiper (Aberdeenshire), Cory's Shearwater (Isles of Scilly), two American Wigeons, and three Glossy Ibises |
