| The new rarities discovered today were all brief encounters with a Fea's/Desertas Petrel
at sea off County Galway, a Caspian Tern in West Sussex at Dell Quay before
it relocated to Normandy, Hampshire, an Alpine Swift in Pembrokeshire at Elegug Stacks, and a
Bee-eater in East Yorkshire at Kilnsea. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Turkestan Shrike, Black-browed Albatross, and Ferruginous Duck in East Yorkshire, Least Tern in County Dublin, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, King Eider in Lothian, and five Bee-eaters together in Norfolk. Scarcities included Golden Oriole in Hertfordshire, American Golden Plover in County Wexford, Pectoral Sandpiper in Northamptonshire, Rose-coloured Starling in County Kerry, Temminck's Stint in Norfolk, American Wigeon in Forth, Sabine's Gull in Cumbria, and a total of 12 Glossy Ibises. |
