  Discoveries today included a Greenish Warbler on the Shetland Isles on Unst, and a Blyth's Reed Warbler on the Western Isles on Barra.

Rarities elsewhere included the Gull-billed Tern showing again in Dorset, the Least Tern still in County Dublin, Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, Little Bittern on the Isles of Scilly, Spotted Sandpiper in Norfolk, territorial Great Reed Warblers in both Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, American Black Tern in Northumberland, King Eider in Lothian, White-billed Diver on Shetland, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire.

Scarcities included Red-spotted Bluethroat (Fife), Red-breasted Flycatcher and Green-winged Teal (Shetland), Temminck's Stint (Scilly), American Wigeon (Forth), Ring-necked Duck (Kent), two each of Marsh Warbler, Common Rosefinch, and Golden Oriole, three Red-backed Shrikes, four Rose-coloured Starlings, and a total of 12 Glossy Ibises.
