  Discoveries today included a Lesser Grey Shrike reported on the Isle of Wight at East Cowes, a Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles on Unst, and a Bonaparte's Gull at Cardiff Bay, Glamorgan.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Black-browed Albatross still in East Yorkshire, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Ross's Gull in County Galway, Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk, both Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in East Sussex, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Black-winged Stilts in Merseyside and Norfolk (2), King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Somerset, and Black Kites in both Cornwall and Dorset.

Scarcities included Little Bunting (North Yorkshire), Shorelark and Lapland Bunting (Pembrokeshire), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two each of Purple Heron, Hoopoe, and Surf Scoter, eight of Ring-necked Duck and Dotterel, and a total of 20 Glossy Ibises.
