  Lingering rarities still present today included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Hume's Warbler and Bonaparte's Gull in Sussex, Dusky Warbler and Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire and Lesser Scaup in Essex.

Scarcity highlights included a Great Grey Shrike, two Yellow-browed Warblers, two Shorelarks, a Temminck's Stint, a Spotted Crake, an American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teal, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, 32 Glossy Ibises, a Glaucous Gull and nine Iceland Gulls.
