  Lingering rarities still present today included the Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and Shetland, Dusky Warbler and Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Black Duck in County Mayo, Lesser Scaups in Clyde (two), Western Isles and Essex and Bonaparte's Gull in Sussex.

Scarcity highlights included a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, a Surf Scoter, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals, ten Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Glossy Ibises, two Glaucous Gulls, eight Iceland Gulls and a Balearic Shearwater.
