Rarities today comprised both the Black-browed Albatross and Baikal Teal
still in East Yorkshire, Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, Black Duck on the Shetland Isles,
Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk,
Bonaparte's Gull in West Sussex, King Eider in Highland, and Lesser Scaup in Essex. Scarcities included Serin (Suffolk), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Hoopoe (County Kerry), Pectoral Sandpiper (County Cork), American Wigeon (Moray), Snow Goose (Argyll), Spotted Crake (Devon), Shorelark (Norfolk), two Kumlien's Gulls, four Green-winged Teals, 10 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 24 Glossy Ibises. |
