  Lingering rarities still present today included the Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Cackling Geese in Western Isles (two) and County Sligo, Lesser Scaup in Dorset, King Eider in Highland, Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan and White-billed Diver in Shetland.

Scarcity highlights included seven Waxwings, a Little Auk, an American Wigeon, a Surf Scoter, two Green-winged Teals, five Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, three Snow Geese, three Tundra Bean Geese, 24 Glossy Ibises, a Kumlien's Gull, 12 Glaucous Gulls and 18 Iceland Gulls.
