  Rarities today comprised both American Robin and Hume's Warbler still in East Sussex, Belted Kingfisher and Long-billed Dowitcher in Lancashire, Baikal Teal and Kentish Plover in Somerset, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, American Coot in County Wexford, Pacific Diver and Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Ross's Gull in Aberdeenshire, Ross's Goose in Clyde, Black Duck and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Mayo, Red-breasted Geese in Essex, Lincolnshire, and Norfolk, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in both County Galway and Suffolk, Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Mayo, County Sligo (2), and the Western Isles, and Lesser Scaups in Argyll (3) County Armagh, Clyde (3), and the Western Isles (4).

Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Norfolk), Serin (Hertfordshire), Little Bunting (East Sussex), Lapland Bunting (Western Isles), American Wigeon (Nottinghamshire), two each of both Black Brant and Yellow-browed Warbler, three Kumlien's Gulls, four Snow Geese, five Green-winged Teals, six Ring-billed Gulls, 11 Shorelarks, 18 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 45 Glossy Ibises.
