Thursday 10th February 2022  
  An adult Bonaparte's Gull was present in Lytchett Bay, Dorset for its second day.

Lingering rarities included the American Robin in Sussex (present for at least its 3rd week), Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, American Coot in County Wexford, Ross's Gull in Aberdeenshire, single Baikal Teals in Somerset and Yorkshire, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, Lesser Scaups in Clyde (three), Argyll (two) and Dorset, Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire, single Red-breasted Geese in Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Essex, two Cackling Geese in Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Hume's Warbler in Sussex, Dusky Warbler in Kent and three Penduline Tits in Somerset.

Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, 14 Shorelarks, 50 Lapland Buntings, 43 Glossy Ibises, an American Wigeon, a Surf Scoter, four Green-winged Teal, 28 Ring-necked Ducks, two Black Brants, three Snow Geese, 16 Tundra Bean Geese, a Kumlien's Gull, four Ring-billed Gulls, eight Glaucous Gulls and 15 Iceland Gulls.

Wednesday 9th February 2022  
  In Cornwall, a Ross's Gull was at Trevone and a Pacific Golden Plover was at Porthgwarra.

Lingering rarities included the American Robin and Hume's Warbler in Sussex, another Ross's Gull again in Aberdeenshire, single American Coots in County Kerry and County Wexford, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, three Penduline Tits in Somerset, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, White-billed Divers in Northumberland and Orkney, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaups in Argyll (three), Clyde (three), Ayrshire, Dorset and Scilly, Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire, Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Kentish Plover in Somerset and Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, four Waxwings, 14 Shorelarks, 41 Glossy Ibises, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals, three Surf Scoters, 17 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, a Black Brant, nine Tundra Bean Geese, a Little Auk, a Kumlien's Gull, three Ring-billed Gulls, nine Glaucous Gulls and 17 Iceland Gulls.

Tuesday 8th February 2022  
 

Highlight of the day was the discovery of an American Robin in a suburban part of Eastbourne, East Sussex joining the Hume’s Warbler that is also present in the same town. Also 3 Lesser Scaups (1 drake) were found in Clyde at Woodend Loch plus a Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire at Allen Pit.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire, American Coot in County Wexford, Baikal Teals in both East Yorkshire and Somerset, Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Red-fanked Bluetail in County Durham, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Long-billed Dowitcher again in Lancashire and Kentish Plover in Somerset.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, 9 Shorelarks, a Little Auk, 2 American Wigeons, 2 Surf Scoters, a Green-winged Teal, 10 Ring-necked Ducks, three Snow Geese, 35 Glossy Ibises, 5 Ring-billed Gulls, 4 Glaucous Gulls and 13 Iceland Gulls.

Monday 7th February 2022  
  The highlight of the day was a Spotted Sandpiper in Glamorgan at Eglwys Nunydd Reservoir, Glamorgan where it joined the long-staying Pacific Diver; it having first been seen there yesterday.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, American Coot in County Wexford, Baikal Teals in both East Yorkshire and Somerset, Ross's Goose in Clyde, Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in East Sussex and Kent, Red-fanked Bluetail in County Durham, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Suffolk and County Wexford, and Lesser Scaups in Argyll (3), Ayrshire, and Clyde (at least 2).

Scarcities included Serin (Hertfordshire), American Wigeon (Nottinghamshire), Rough-legged Buzzard (North Yorkshire), two each of Great Grey Shrike, Lapland Bunting, Green-winged Teal, and Black Brant, three of Ring-billed Gull, Waxwing, and Snow Geese, eight of Surf Scoter and Shorelark, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 34 Glossy Ibises.

Sunday 6th February 2022  
  An adult Ross's Gull was seen briefly at Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, but it unfortunately didn't linger. Two Lesser Scaup are present at Woodend Loch, Clyde for their fifth day.

Other lingering rarities still present included the White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, American Coot in County Kerry, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaup in Dorset and County Armagh, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Ross's Goose in Clyde, single Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Galway and Suffolk and three Penduline Tits in Somerset.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, two Yellow-browed Warblers,  three Waxwings, 15 Shorelarks, 21 Lapland Buntings, two Little Auks, a Grey Phalarope, an American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, three Green-winged Teal, 27 Ring-necked Ducks, three Snow Geese, three Black Brants, 17 Tundra Bean Geese, 24 Glossy Ibises, a Kumlien's Gull, four Ring-billed Gulls, 13 Glaucous Gulls and 16 Iceland Gulls.

Saturday 5th February 2022  
 

Lingering rarities included the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teal in Somerset, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Red-breasted Geese still in Essex and Linconlshire, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset and three Lesser Scaups in the Western Isles and Dorset, Pacific Diver still in Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk.

Scarcities included American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals, three Ring-billed Gulls, four Snow Geese, three Yellow-browed Warblers, three Waxwings, 13 Shorelarks, 21 Ring-necked Ducks and 40 Glossy Ibises

Friday 4th February 2022  
  Lingering rarities seen today included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Galway, Baikal Teal in Somerset, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Lesser Scaup in Western Isles, Ross's Goose in Clyde, single Red-breasted Geese in Norfolk and Essex, Cackling Goose in County Clare, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham and three Penduline Tits in Somerset.

Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, a Great Grey Shrike, three Yellow-browed Warblers, seven Shorelarks, a Surf Scoter, two American Wigeon, 21 Ring-necked Ducks, three Snow Geese, 15 Tundra Bean Geese, 36 Glossy Ibises, four Little Auks, three Ring-billed Gulls, five Glaucous Gulls and 12 Iceland Gulls.

Thursday 3rd February 2022  
 

The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Red-breasted Goose at Cley, Norfolk with Dark-bellied Brent Geese: the same bird as earlier present on The Dengie, Essex between at least 11th November 2021 and 2nd January 2022 where it was accompanied by a second individual that remained in Essex until 31st January.

Lingering rarities included the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teals in both East Yorkshire and Somerset, Ross's Goose in Clyde, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Hume's Warblers in East Sussex and Kent, Red-breasted Goose still in Linconlshire, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset and Lesser Scaups in Ayrshire and Dorset.

Scarcities included Kumlien's Gull, two American Wigeons, Green-winged Teal, four Ring-billed Gulls, Great Grey Shrike, four Snow Geese, Yellow-browed Warbler, three Waxwings, 11 Shorelarks, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, 7 Lapland Buntings and 25 Glossy Ibises.

Wednesday 2nd February 2022  
  Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire, Baikal Teals in both East Yorkshire and Somerset, Ross's Goose in Clyde, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Hume's Warblers in East Sussex and Kent, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Galway and Suffolk, King Eider in Highland, White-billed Diver on the Shetland Isles, two Cackling Geese on the Western Isles, and Lesser Scaups in Ayrshire, Dorset, and the Isles of Scilly.

Scarcities included Surf Scoter (Scilly), Kumlien's Gull (Orkney Isles), two each of Serin, American Wigeon, and Green-winged Teal, three of Ring-billed Gull and Great Grey Shrike, four of Snow Goose, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Waxwing, 11 Shorelarks, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, 22 Lapland Buntings, and a total of 42 Glossy Ibises.

  Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, both Baikal Teal and Penduline Tit in Somerset, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Ross's Goose in Clyde, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, and Lesser Scaups in County Armagh, Ayrshire, Dorset, and the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), American Wigeon (Nottinghamshire), Ring-billed Gull (Lothian), Surf Scoter (Conwy), Snow Goose (Cheshire), Great Grey Shrike (Cambridgeshire), Black Brant (Dorset), two each of Lapland Bunting, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Green-winged Teal, four Waxwings, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 29 Glossy Ibises.
