Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire,
White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Northern Harrier in County Offaly,
Baikal Teal and three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan,
Hume's Warbler in Kent and East Sussex, Ross's Goose in Clyde,
Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Red-breasted Geese in both Essex and Lincolnshire,
Dusky Warbler in Kent, King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs
in County Galway and Suffolk, Ferruginous Ducks in Staffordshire and Surrey,
Lesser Scaups in Ayrshire, County Cork, and Isles of Scilly, two Richardson's Cackling Geese together in County Sligo, and on the Shetland
Isles White-billed Diver and three King Eiders together. Scarcities included Little Bunting (Cornwall), Waxwing (Highland), Black Brant (Norfolk), Kumlien's Gull (Western Isles), two each of both Serin and American Wigeon, three of Surf Scoter, Snow Geese, and Yellow-browed Warbler, four Great Grey Shrikes, five Green-winged Teals, six Ring-billed Gulls, 12 Shorelarks, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, 29 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 33 Lapland Buntings. |
