  Rarities today comprised the White-winged Scoter still in Lothian, Baikal Teals in both East Yorkshire and Somerset, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex and Kent, Red-breasted Goose in Essex and Lincolnshire, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, and Dusky Warbler in Kent.

Scarcities included Serin (Hertfordshire), Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Kumlien's Gull (County Kerry), two each of American Wigeon, Surf Scoter, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Black Brant, three of Great Grey Shrike, Waxwing, and Snow Goose, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Green-winged Teals, seven Shorelarks, 11 Glossy Ibises, 15 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 30 Lapland Buntings.

Unfortunately the Gyr reported yesterday at Marton-in-the-Forest, North Yorkshire was an escaped bird.
