  New discoveries today included a Black Duck at Strontian, Highland, a Cackling Goose at Doonbeg, County Clare and a White-billed Diver off Papa Westray, Orkney.

Lingering rarities still present included single American Coots in County Wexford and County Kerry, single Baikal Teals in Somerset and Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Pacific Divers in Glamorgan and County Cork, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Semipalmated Plover also in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Hume's Warbler in Sussex, Bonaparte's Gull in Somerset and two Cackling Geese in Western Isles.

Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Hoopoe, a Pallas's Warbler, two Yellow-browed Warblers, three Great Grey Shrikes, 11 Shorelarks, two American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, 20 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, two Black Brants, 15 Tundra Bean Geese, 44 Glossy Ibises, a Little Auk, a Pomarine Skua, a Kumlien's Gull, five Ring-billed Gulls, seven Iceland Gulls and 14 Glaucous Gulls.
