Rarities today comprised White-tailed Lapwing and Red-breasted Goose both still in Lincolnshire,
White-winged Scoter in Lothian, American Coot in County Kerry, Baikal
Teal, Kenitsh Plover, and three Penduline Tits in Somerset, American Buff-bellied Pipit
in Devon, Hume's Warbler and Dusky Warbler in Kent, Red-flanked Bluetail
in County Durham, Lesser Scaup in County Westmeath, and Lesser Yellowlegs in both County Galway and Suffolk. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Little Bunting (London), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Hoopoe (Warwickshire), Great Grey Shrike (Highland), Black Brant (Norfolk), two each of Richard's Pipit, Yellow-browed Warbler, and American Wigeon, three of Snow Goose and Green-winged Teal, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Surf Scoters, 12 Ring-necked Ducks, 16 Shorelarks, 31 Lapland Buntings, and a total of 49 Glossy Ibises. |
