Rarities today comprised the Isabelline Wheatear still in Lothian, Hume's Warbler still in Suffolk,
White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Semipalmated Plover in County Cork,
Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, and
Lesser Scaups in Argyll (3) and Devon (2). Scarcities included Snow Goose (Forth), Black Brant (Norfolk), two Green-winged Teals, four each of Surf Scoter, Lapland Bunting, and Grey Phalarope, five Ring-necked Ducks, and seven Leach's Petrels. |
